Donna E. Lane: The individual who has had the most influence on my writing is C. S. Lewis. He inspired me to write both fiction and nonfiction, to cross genres, and to be bold and creative in how I present the truth of Christ.

Michele Olson: Taking Jerry Jenkins Novel Blueprint course (He’s The NY Times best selling author of over 100 books including the Left Behind series)and then meeting up with him in Nashville with other authors is the catalyst that changed my dream into a reality.

Dianne Marie Andre: Experienced authors who have taken the time to help me in a variety of areas including writing, marketing, tech, and emotional support.

Amy Walsh: I think Deena Adams has been incredibly diligent in helping myself and other authors by sharing scriptures and links to valuable articles for writers. Her group Marathon here on Facebook is a beacon of encouragement for aspiring authors. And my mother, Brenda L Cooley, has encouraged me to use my writing gifts for God’s glory more than anyone else. Both are wonderful women of faith!

Carolyn Miller: Going through ministry burnout is ultimately what led to this book – and my deciding to take writing seriously. I used some of that experience in this book.

Denice Perkins: The story in my book is God nudged. I never intended to be a writer, so He had to down right push. At first I just wrote, forever. At first all the feedback was negative. I cried. I prayed. I told Him if He really wanted me to do this, I needed some direction. Doors began to open. A critique partner/beta reader started reading for me and I read for him and together we made each other better. We still read for each other. An editor/teacher came into my life and an amazingly affordable cover artist. Somehow I learned how to write and with the support of my husband, my church, and others I never expected, I self-published my first book, When Wounds Heal. The whole process from nudging to shoving took about two and a half years.

Robin Fedchenko: Huge trials forced me to write my first book, it was therapy. In the writing I found purpose and a new found sense of contentment. Having to delve into the Bible for research healed the wounds of my soul.
